I never stop looking for wildlife, so on a recent family trip to Edinburgh I couldn't help myself but have a look for some local wildlife. Lots of rain means lots of water. One of my local meadows was flooded so I took a walk to see what wildlife I could find and how the wildlife was coping during the floods.     Great Vid! This is one of my favourite birds here in the UK, and I love how they live alongside us, they are a pretty little bird and really animated. I know they are no Corvid, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they are fairly intelligent as birds go.

    I live in Sydney Australia and for years I have observed swallows flying and swooping over a particular paddock near my home there. To my delight I observed swallows performing the same swooping actions over a lake in Wales whilst on holiday there. Can someone tell me is there any connection between the two . .

    About 25 years ago I used to see Little Owls EVERY DAY travelling too and from work in Sussex, always just standing on fence posts at the side of the road. I was shocked to hear there are only 5000 odd in the UK. I'm going to do the same drive in the summer evenings to see if I see any and I'm PRAYING that I do! Such beautiful creatures, I could stop, wind my window down and talk to them and they'd just look at me with that CUTE angry expression 😠😄🥰

    I am from the US where they are invasive, but I rescued a little dove that I could not ID. Turns out it was a collared dove. He made a full recovery and we just watched this video together. He enjoyed it.

    The Eastern Grey Squirrel is very destructive, even in their native habitats. They gnaw electrical wires … somehow not killing themselves … destroy young trees, will kill and eat nestling birds like cardinals, damage and/or destroy gardens, etc. etc. They’ve destroyed hundreds of dollars in Dutch tulips in my gardens as well as others in the area over the years. Although I’d never put out poison or traps as they’re undiscriminating in their actions, I have live trapped the grey devils and relocated them in the forests where they don’t wreak havoc on the environment. Sure, they’re cute, but at what cost? 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

    I just rescued a raven with a broken wing to wheee its twisted and rotten. I had to cut it the rest of the way off because of the infection that was spreading. Now she’s healing up and more active in my big bird sanctuary.
